Arguably Kenya’s best internet celebrity breakout of 2020, Azziad Nasenya has been making moves this year. From creating a viral TikTok video that threw her into stardom to landing an ambassadorship role. In September, Azziad was appointed the global ambassador for Save Our Future, an organization that focuses on rebuilding education across the world owing to the Covid-19 pandemic.
For 2021, Azziad has amazing tips on how you can start the year on a positive note. Given the fact 2020 has been a bad year for most of us, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we sure need some inspiration and assurance.
In an interview with Msafiri Magazine, a monthly title published by Kenya Airways, the young actress and content creator opened up about her experience with the pandemic. In the Dec 2020/Jan 2021 issue of the magazine, Azziad Nasenya spoke to our CEO Harun Momanyi exclusively.
“It is without a doubt that we should embrace the new normal and stop blaming everything on COVID. We can still create opportunities to better ourselves with the current situation. The key is to be positive, creative, and keep on pushing on,” said Azziad.

The fast-rising content creator saw her following increase from thousands to the current 876k – at the time of this blog post. She saw the positive side of things, and instead of sulking, she decided to push her career further.
“I saw an opportunity to make something for myself using entertainment during this pandemic. I am grateful for the support from my fans and it is working out quite well for me. Doors don’t just open by themselves. Action is required for results. You need to reach the doorknob and pull or push. So let’s embrace the new normal and embark on 2021 with positivity and enthusiasm,” she added.
